What a weekend! First off, I got to see Elf and I must say, I thought it was darn adorable :) Had me some Cold Stone (very bad for my heart....but tummy enjoys ;). Then on Saturday, I worked. Sunday, I worked. But the upside was I got to sleep in BOTH DAYS!!!! How enjoyable is that! Till 10 people!! And at work, I got out early BOTH days (cuz the weather wasn't so cute). Then last night, I got to chill at the library. Eh! Could have done without that. Anyways......overall, still tired but I'm back at school and there's only 3 more weeks left of the semester! Can you believe it?

I'd like to thank the academy for getting me through this HELL WEEK! My studio charette is complete for now, my community development paper is done for the week, my sociology of the great plains paper is complete for now and now I may enjoy Must See TV Thursday! I've taped it (seeing as I ran a bit long with the paper) but ice cream and TV and sleeping in are in the cards for me! WHOO HOOOO! I'VE MADE! This just goes to prove: if I can do it, SO CAN YOU!!! One week of freedom, then CRUNCH TIME comes into play and all 3 of these MAJOR PROJECTS (all 3 of them are the basis and final for the class) come to be due. Hopefully, with careful planning, I can accommodate and be a sufficient group member to all 3 and produce A work so MAYBE, JUST MAYBE this can be my semester on the DEAN'S LIST! I'm only hoping for one, and I think this might be my year....well, semester ;)
P.S. You know you're sleep deprived (and joining the looney bin you're surrounded by) when you're working in the fitting room at Old Navy and creepy people carry on conversations with you (despite not trying on any clothes) and your coworkers come up to you and have to ask if you're ok. This is like being drunk, but I"m much more responsive! I LOVE IT!!!
I get to sleep tonight! YAY! The community development paper (which is due in a few short hours) is making its way together (despite not all the parts being there cuz a certain group member said she had it but didn't) and then this afternoon, I shall write another paper and be able to enjoy what the Americans call "Must See TV". It will be enjoyable :) PLUS! I shall hopefully have enough time to do my most favoritest thing: CLEAN and DO LAUNDRY! I love clean socks! and CLEAN APARTMENT FOR ME! Anyways.....enjoy Thursday all.....it's almost Friday Yay!

Do you see what time it is? And I'm still at school! This is definitly nobody's friend. We have a crit tomorrow and we are no where NEAR getting done. Good thing I don't need sleep to clean Old Navy's toilet's in the morning. Is it right for a person to "call in tired?" If so, let me start the trend in doing so. Perhaps this weekend I will sleep....like a little baby! YAY! I'm so pumped for this! (P.S. I'm surrounded by a bunch of loonies who had a project due today and yesterday, hence, they have not slept in 2 nights....tonight makes 3.....they are scaring me with their.....images. Not saying they don't still look pretty, however, they're personality's are, shall we say, deprived. DANGER!!! Don't let me become one of them!)

Stilll feel yucky, but it's getting better. Damn the food poisoning!! Anyways...I'm at studio extra early to work on my project....and cuz I had to get Britney's new album. Thank god for Walmart being 24 hours!! heheheh! I hate to say it, but this may not be a hot seller (either that, or I'm really in Fargo).....I walked into Walmart at 6:30 this morning and the old man had to dig through his shipment to find me Britney....and he made me feel bad for doing it (well, not really, but it is his damn job to have that ready before 6:30 am!). Oh well :) So far, so good!

It appears as though the pub crawl was a success :) We began at 5pm at the local pub and then worked our way downtown. I called it quits at midnight (only an hour shy of bar closing in ND)....so I feel pretty proud. Some highlights of the evening are as follows:
*Professor buying us our drinks as the Turf (after telling us the story of how he does this 3-4 times a year and why he won't charge it to American Express anymore....apparently when they sent out the annual spending report, they had a special letter in there stating he drinks too much and should see help followed by AA places)
*Reggi laying flat over the 3 girls in the backseat and Katie accidentally drooling on her face (she had a sucker, I can understand).
*Being the first ones at each bar to "start this party!"
*Giving myself a wedgie after hearing that my underwear tag was sticking up.....ouch!
*Having a homeless man as me if he could have my jacket.....then after I say no thank you (simply because I only had a t shirt on underneath and it was chilly....HEY! He was wearing 4 long sleeve shirts...I could see that), he asks Darla's boyfriend....what is this! a man wants a woman's coat?
*Al calling me and I go stand outside the bar without my coat on....apparently I was warm cuz it was only 6degrees out....burr! (sorry al, I was going to make a much better conversationalist last night but group went late).
*And finally, forgetting where I left my computer and backpack so I couldn't do homework yesterday....which was a positive seeing as I had a bit of a hangover

So let's begin with the stories. As you may or may not know, Fargo recieved 2-3 inches of snow between Monday night and Tuesday morning, making roads a bit slick. The stories that follow are all true, and hence, shall be titiled "North Dakotan's Can't Drive":
1) As I'm driving to school Tuesday morning, I get to a bridge crossover. Low and behold, a long load semi (that has 3 cars attatched) is stuck in the snow at the lights in the left hand lane. So, I and everyone else, proceed to move into the right hand lane to pass this guy. As I proceed into this lane, another semi gets stuck in the front of the line, only this time, in my right hand lane. As he skids and tries to move, he's gradually slipping backward, nearer and nearer to me (is he paying attention to this?). So, what's the most logical thing to do? Well, in North Dakota, if your lane is blocked, proceed to make a THIRD LANE in ONCOMING TRAFFIC'S LEFT HAND LANE! I was a bit nervous, but I got in the line and made it out alive (though there was much disbelief to the people coming straight at us!!).
2) I park my car and begin to walk to class. I'm about ready to cross the busy road, as a crazy male (mind you, North Dakota) driver pulls out of his driveway onto this street in front of me. Once getting on the road, he proceeds to put in in the ditch once before getting to the light. He pushes it out, gets back in and as the light turns green, he manages to put it back in the ditch. Get's out, pushes out of the ditch, but by the time he was able to make it to the next light (which was as far as I could see this dumb dumb go), he had managed to once more, put his car in the ditch. That's funny :) 3 times in the ditch in a one block radius. WHERE DO THEY FIND THESE PEOPLE!!!
3) Finally, as I'm driving away from school and am waiting at the final light for NDSU, I see the coal train leaving our campus (because we make our own energy, the coal train comes once a month to drop off coal for us!). Ironically, the train has stopped right before the road due to a car that had flown into the ditch and on top of the railroad track. AAA was towing him out and the second he was off the tracks, the train started to move. That, however, did not stop people from CONTINUING TO USE THE ROAD IN FRONT OF THE TRAIN! As the train honks its horn, the last car SQUEEZES by and the train passes. I come back to school later in the evening for my night class to hear a story. "Did you know that Prof. Ramsey got stuck in the ditch this afternoon?" And I was like, no, no clue! The LA proceeds to tell me that he was stuck over the railroad tracks! I laugh and say, was the train waiting.....LA says, why yes! I GOT TO SEE MY PROFESSOR STUCK OVER THE RAILROAD TRACKS GETTING PULLED OUT!! Best part, when I saw the man get pulled out, he had one hand on the wheel the other on his coffee. This is where I'm heading in life: Get in an accident, just keep on sipping that coffee!!
So...I've taken a bit of a break on the whole Fargo blog......sorry! I hope you haven't missed it too much! Just thought I'd bring it back so I wouldn't bog down the other site.....so much to write about! More like, just funny stories occasionally:) So anyways, check in every once in awhile if you'd like....cuz I'll try blogging here more often! Ciao!!
